Daily Mail reports:
A high school teacher in Georgia accused of sleeping with three of her male students has accepted a plea bargain which means she will do no jail time.
Phoebe Jo Chapman, 44, surrendered to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office in Valdosta in April 2015 and was initially charged with three counts of sexual assault.
The charges stemmed from three separate encounters with different boys, all of whom have since graduated.
But WCTV reported yesterday that Chapman had pleaded guilty to second degree cruelty to children.
Under the plea bargain she will not go to jail and will not even have to register as a sex offender.
Chapman was fined $2,000 and sentenced to four years’ probation.
As part of the deal she is precluded from having any contact with the victims or Lowndes County Schools.
Chapman resigned from her job at the school back in 2015.
